Scotland pilot • Data-led eco innovation

Smarter property energy intelligence for real-world deployment.

HEOP is a collaborative technology platform created to track, record and analyse residential energy efficiency measures across homes, contractors and programme stakeholders. Built by Datarush Ltd, the system is designed to help eco-focused organisations improve reporting, strengthen decision-making and support scalable nationwide rollout.

We develop digital systems and process solutions that help environmentally focused companies generate leads, improve customer acquisition and streamline internal technology operations. Our work combines automation, data handling, customer communication workflows and practical software tools that help organisations move faster and operate more efficiently.

HEOP Is a collaborative technology platform created to track, record and analyse residential energy efficiency measures across homes.

Project overview

HEOP is a collaborative initiative involving local councils, government agencies, eco-energy companies and homeowners. The objective is to create a scalable, secure and data-driven framework for recording and analysing energy efficiency measures in homes, beginning with a Scottish trial and designed for wider UK expansion.

Connected platform

One joined-up ecosystem

The concept brings together a mobile app, a home energy monitoring meter and a central cloud database so property-level updates can be captured and reviewed in a consistent format.

Operational value

Built for real delivery teams

Contractors can record measures in the field, organisations can track progress centrally, and stakeholders can access clearer reporting on property improvements and programme impact.

Future-ready data

Designed for scale

The platform is being structured to support interoperability, stronger compliance, better funding insight and easier expansion beyond the initial trial region.

The system concept

At its core, HEOP connects a mobile contractor app with a home energy monitoring meter. Together they record property features, capture installed measures, log updates made to a property and send structured data into a secure central system for analysis.

How HEOP works

A contractor attends a property and uses the mobile application to record baseline information, improvements and supporting evidence. The in-property energy meter provides a technical link for capturing relevant measure-related data. That information is then securely transmitted to a central database where it can be validated, analysed and used to guide decision-making.

1

Survey

Contractor records property features, existing conditions and installed measures through the mobile app.

2

Measure

Home energy meter supports the data picture with property-linked monitoring inputs and structured evidence.

3

Transmit

Data is securely passed into a central cloud environment with traceable handling and controlled access.

4

Analyse

Stakeholders review outputs, identify trends and support smarter funding, planning and efficiency decisions.
